Owensboro Distilling Company, consisting now of A. C. Tompkins, President; Joseph A. Fuqua, Secretary; N. M. Lancaster and John G. Weir. Their distillery was built in the fall of 1880, and has a capacity of thirty barrels per twenty-four hours. Capacity of the principal warehouse, 10,700 barrels. This building is of brick and wood on the outside, and wood and iron on the inside. Besides this there are four other warehouses of a capacity of 600 barrels each. This institution has been paying good dividends. Their brands of whiskey are "The W. S. Stone," "Farmer's Club," and " Kentucky."
