In 1893 a local doctor moved many bodies from the County's Pauper Cemetery to the Poor Farm.
Dr. A. C. Wood signed a contract to remove the bodies from the county's pauper cemetery on Old Hartford Road... to the new Daviess County Poor Farm on Miller's Mill Road... where Windridge Country Club now resides.
It was estimated that over 300 bodies were buried there. The county pauper cemetery adjoined the Henry Kelley family cemetery along Kelley Lane in what is now the Trinity Hills subdivision.
