Ash Valley was a thickly settled rural community in Daviess County, Kentucky, located three miles west of Owensboro.

Farming

The Owensboro Examiner reported on February 22, 1878 that the community contained some of the finest farming land in the county, mainly corn and tobacco.

School and Church

School was conducted from five to eight months by Miss Annie Brown. Elder D. E. Yeiser was the pastor of the community’s Baptist church, which met in the Ash Valley School. It was formally organized as the Ash Valley Baptist Church on November 5, 1876, with 30 members.
