Lockhart was a community in Daviess County, Kentucky, on the Hardinsburg Road about five miles above Owensboro.

The newspaper reported on March 11, 1886:

Dr. Simon Lockhart is having a telephone put into his residence 5 miles above the city on the Hardinsburg Road. The new town of Lockhart is thriving finely. It is now proposed for establishing a post office and a voting place there.
