Rose Hill was a rural neighborhood in Daviess County, Kentucky, located four miles east of Owensboro.
A letter to the Owensboro Examiner in May 1878 described the community:
“...is one of the leading neighborhoods in this county. The people here attend church as regularly as Sunday comes, and are noted for their honesty and morality. The youngsters of the neighborhood are full of life, and it is not difficult for any one to enjoy himself here.”
