Willis Green, a Representative from Kentucky; born in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia; birth date unknown; attended the public schools; settled in that part of Virginia which is now the State of Kentucky; clerk of court of Lincoln County in 1783; served as a member of the State constitutional convention in 1792; surveyor for locating land warrants; member of the State house of representatives in 1836 and 1837; elected as a Whig to the Twenty-sixth, Twenty-seventh, and Twenty-eighth Congresses (March 4, 1839-March 3, 1845); died June 20, 1868; interment in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, Ky.

He represented Daviess County in Congress.
